Costa d’en Blanes: the Mediterranean at your feet
The small locality of Costa d’en Blanes in south-western Majorca is one of the island’s exclusive neighbourhoods. One part of it, south of the Ma-1 motorway, is right by the sea, while above the motorway, the other part nestles into the hillside – with really jaw-dropping houses that have spectacular views of the glamorous Puerto Portals marina and the sea as far as Palma. If the kids are into dolphins and sea lions, they can experience the marine mammals live in shows and get up close to them at the nearby marine park called Marineland Mallorca.

The park has much more too. There are performances with exotic birds like parrots, demonstrating their talents and tricks. Among them is a bright blue hyacinth macaw that can “do maths” brilliantly! Golfers will be happy to know that they have the Real Golf de Bendinat golf course as well as the Santa Ponça golf courses not far away. In Costa d’en Blanes itself, active types will also find a large sports club that has various tennis courts and offers yoga as well. How about “Warrior” or “Cobra” pose while looking out at palm trees and a deep blue sea with snow-white yachts – you could probably live with that…
