Palmanova and its trio of beaches… this resort in the municipality of Calvià in the south-west of Majorca features three large playas: Es Carregador, Palmanova and Son Maties. But you also have local perfumeries, newsagents, boutiques, shoe shops and supermarkets. Meanwhile, a range of bars and restaurants provide sustenance and your creature comforts. Many of them are right by the seafront promenades. If you feel like international cuisine, you can treat yourself to Thai, Italian or Indian food – the tables are all laid, ready and waiting for you. Then there are the South American steakhouses and Spanish fish restaurants. And you can also get fast food.
Twice the golf
The inventively designed minigolf facility called Golf Fantasia, close to the beach, provides great amusement for kids – and indeed for all ages. This park with a tropical theme offers three different courses just waiting for you to play them. It’s great fun for the whole family! For “real” golfers, there are actually several 18-hole courses close at hand…Santa Ponça, Bendinat and the T Golf & Country Club.
Jet-set hang-out or party hotspot
The neighbours of Palmanova could not be more different. On one side you have the glamorous jet-setters’ harbour of Puerto Portals, and on the other the bustling tourist hotspot of Magaluf, where night is turned into day.
