Life is good in Son Caliu

Son Caliu is a small locality with its own beach. Well, it’s a little beach – Playa Son Caliu is about 75 metres long and has some concreted parts. Also in the place and named after it, you have the Hotel Son Caliu. This is an example of true pioneering spirit! Built right by the Mediterranean back in the 1960s with the onset of tourism in Majorca, and lavishly refurbished since then, it was one of the very first hotels to spring up in the area of Palmanova. Son Caliu is located between Palmanova and Portals Nous, in the municipality of Calvià in the south-west of Majorca.

Yachts, spa, Michelin-starred cuisine

This means that besides the shops and restaurants in Son Caliu itself, you also have plenty more options in the vicinity when it comes to shopping and going out – from the simple to the exquisite. After all, just next door you have the exclusive marina of Puerto Portals as well as the plush St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Hotel, which has a large spa and wellness area and the Michelin-starred restaurant Es Fum. And you can reach the island’s capital of Palma de Mallorca and its airport in around 20 to 25 minutes by car, thanks to the good motorway connection.

All that makes life on the island so good

Thus, Son Caliu boasts plenty of advantages as a location for a Majorcan property. Because if you’re interested in acquiring a property, you’ll find everything here that makes life on the island so good – the sea on the doorstep, the mountains as a backdrop and the great infrastructure that opens up the door to the rest of the Majorcan world. Even the international schools in Portals Nous and Palma are not far. And then, because maths, chemistry and English aren’t everything and kids need more, there is all sorts of fun available for them. Marineland in Costa d’en Blanes, for example. Or the Western Water Park in Magaluf. They can even practise making big waves there…
